Welcome to The MCSC
The Murray County Saddle Club is a historic equestrian venue in Chatsworth, Georgia, set at the base of Fort Mountain in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. For over 60 years, we have welcomed riders, families, and animal lovers to be part of a close-knit community built on tradition, fellowship, and a shared passion for the equine lifestyle.
Our scenic facility spans 40 acres, bordered by Fort Mountain State Park and a peaceful creek, offering both beauty and functionality. At the heart of the grounds is our large, lighted covered arena, complemented by a warm-up arena, announcer’s booth, and state-of-the-art sound system. We provide six barns with over 270 stalls, more than 100 campsites with water and electric hookups, bathhouses, a clubhouse with concessions, and plenty of accessible parking for both participants and spectators.
Designed to support a wide range of events, the club also features vendor spaces, bleacher seating, wash racks, shoeing stalls, and well-maintained grounds with convenient access throughout. Whether you're here for a show, a weekend getaway, or a family outing, everything you need is close at hand—including local dining, veterinary services, shopping, and outdoor recreation.
We are proud to host the Annual Appalachian Wagon Train, a tradition since 1959, along with seasonal parades and community events. Beyond our grounds, we remain committed to giving back through scholarships, donations, and local outreach efforts.
Monthly meetings are held on the first working Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the concession building. You don’t need to own or ride a horse to be part of our community—just bring a love for animals and a passion for connection.
